Actress Jyothirmayi, who is known for speaking her mind boldly, has taken up women's cause.
She is the brand ambassador for the 'Thantedam Gender Fest,' organised by the Department of Social Welfare in association with various women's organisations.
"Being a woman, I am happy to work for womenempowerment. Though women can excel in any field, they have to work harder than men to make an impact. I want to make a difference by standing up for women's rights. And I feel Thantedam is the right platform to highlight the issues faced by them," says Jyothirmayi.
